Airborne Infection Control Measures for Long-Term Care Facilities

Carrier Corporation, a global leader of innovative HVAC, refrigeration, fire, security and building automation technologies, is supporting the State of Florida with a consultative program to provide engineered solutions for their long-term care facilities. It is designed to improve the air quality and strengthen infection control as a means of protecting their vulnerable resident population and improving their wellness.

As part of this program, Carrier has developed a simple questionnaire which will allow you, the facility owner/manager, to identify HVAC areas within your facility that might benefit from better operations, upgrade or replacement. Once completed, the Carrier team will contact you for a consultative discussion to jointly determine the best course of action that meets your requirements, timeline and budget.

When filling out this questionnaire, please identify your desired need, timeline and budget (if known). Additionally, the Carrier team can educate you and your staff on the expansion of the Accelerated Expensing tax code change, Section 168, which was expanded in the “CARES” act of 2020 to ensure that the cost of these retrofits can benefit as Qualified Improvement Property (“QIP”) investments.

By teaming up with Carrier, the State of Florida is providing leading HVAC expert resources to the state’s long-term facilities that will allow them to quickly identify and address any concerns they have with providing a healthy and well-maintained environment for their residents. Carrier Corporation is proud to offer world-class products, service and controls that will provide preventative measures toward the fight against this pandemic and future airborne infectious diseases.
