Carrier Transicold Expands Service Network in France

RUEIL-MALMAISON, France -

Company also launched nationwide recruitment effort and collaborated on state-recognized diploma for refrigeration technicians

Carrier Transicold is expanding its network of service centers in France to strengthen its delivery of high-quality, fast and efficient service while being even closer to customers. The multi-year effort adds to the geographical coverage of Carrier Transicold's 65 service centers, which install and maintain transport refrigeration units, as well as provide specialized BluEdge services. Carrier Transicold is part of Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE: CARR), the leading global provider of healthy, safe and sustainable building and cold-chain solutions.

"Many of our customers are well-known companies that are particularly active in their local areas," said Sébastien Pholoppe, Director, Carrier Transicold Service Network, France. “By extending our regional presence, customers can draw on the expertise of a local collaborator with extensive experience in servicing transporters, standardized processes and a thorough understanding of Carrier Transicold's refrigeration units.”

The expansion plan builds upon several changes implemented across Carrier Transicold's service network in France since 2021, which together include:

  • Émeraude France Service (EFS), which has a long-standing presence in Brittany, now has 10 service centers that cover the region, extending the scope of their activities as far as Ile-de-France to part of Normandy.
  • In Poitou-Charentes, CD Froid has extended its coverage to the cities of Tours, Brive-la-Gaillarde and Limoges.
  • In the South of France, Azur Trucks Froid (ATF) now covers six new sectors, with bases in Aix-en-Provence, Gémenos, Lyon, Clermont-Ferrand, Bourg-en-Bresse and Annecy.
  • The Petracco service center has extended its coverage to the Toulouse area, as well as Agen and Montauban. The opening of new service centers in Arras, Belfort, Valence and Vitrolles will follow in the coming months.

To help ensure continued access to a qualified workforce, Carrier Transicold also collaborated on the creation of France's first state-recognized diploma for refrigeration technicians, which covers a range of skills involving refrigeration, electrical, mechanical and information technologies. Additionally, Carrier Transicold will participate in the French national “Frigo Tour 2023” that will include visits to 10 regions around France to raise awareness among vocational high school students about refrigeration career opportunities, conduct job fairs for adults and provide career guidance.

“We are passionate about training the next generation of refrigeration service technicians and encouraging them to pursue a career in this exciting industry,” said Jean-Pascal Vielfaure, Director, Carrier Transicold, Southern Europe.

Carrier Transicold's service network has also launched a nationwide recruitment campaign in France to hire 100 team members and technical staff.
