A flexible rooftop platform now optimized for R-454B refrigerant to offer higher efficiency, advanced features, and electrification readiness, featuring EcoBlue™ Fan Technology and round tube plate fin coils for proven efficiency, durability, and quiet operation.
The WeatherMaster® 48GE platform provides gas heat/electric cooling from 3-25 tons. Existing 2-stage configurations remain available. Select 6-25 ton 3-stage configurations add MZVAV* capability using 40% / 60% / 100% cooling stages, an EcoBlue™ variable-speed supply fan and the factory-integrated TruVu PIC. The control supports linked Carrier VAV systems through Airside Linkage and standalone VAV applications serving third-party BACnet terminals.

Intuitive control board streamlines troubleshooting and fan adjustments, while access panels with ergonomic handles and tool-less filter access ensure quicker, hassle-free maintenance.
48GE MZVAV: TruVu PIC provides equipment operating data, alarms, trending and fault-detection/diagnostic functions. Refrigerant suction and discharge pressure transducers improve visibility for troubleshooting, while familiar service-access features, tool-less filter access and direct-drive fan adjustment support routine maintenance.
Same roof curb footprint simplifies retrofits, convertible airflow adds installation versatility and built-in base rails with rigging adapters streamline handling.
48GE MZVAV: Factory-integrated TruVu PIC reduces the need to add a separate field controller for the MZVAV application. BACnet IP and BACnet MS/TP support building-system integration, while native i-Vu integration supports Carrier controls applications. An Equipment Touch startup wizard supports setup and commissioning. Existing Carrier curb compatibility, convertible airflow and base rails continue to support replacement and installation flexibility.
Advanced leak detection and flame safety systems enhance protection, scroll compressors add durability with overload protection and permanently lubricated fan motors ensure low-maintenance operation.
48GE MZVAV: The existing 3-stage refrigeration architecture is paired with integrated control logic, safety interlocks, alarms and refrigerant pressure inputs. TruVu PIC monitors the packaged unit and coordinates operating modes while established scroll compressors, protected motors and A2L leak-detection functions remain part of the platform reliability story.
