Carrier Transicold to Exhibit new Vector High Efficiency 17 Unit at 2022 TECHNOTRANS Trade Show

RUEIL-MALMAISON, France -

Oct. 20-22, Parc des Expositions in Nantes - Stand C007

Carrier Transicold's new temperature-controlled refrigeration unit for semi-trailers, the Vector® High Efficiency (HE) 17 unit, will be showcased for the first time in France at the 2022 TECHNOTRANS trade show, which will be held from Oct. 20 to 22 at the Parc des Expositions in Nantes. Carrier Transicold is a part of Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE: CARR), the leading global provider of healthy, safe, sustainable and intelligent building and cold chain solutions.

The refrigeration unit will be on display at the joint stand of CD Froid and Emeraude Froid Service (EFS), Carrier Transicold's third party service centers. Unveiled recently at the IAA Transportation trade show in Hanover, Germany, this new system is the latest addition to Carrier Transicold's Vector HE range. It features variable frequency drive technology combined with proven E-Drive all-electric technology, which enhances the company’s range of Vector High Efficiency units. Achieving best-in-class total cost of ownership, the Vector HE 17 delivers improved refrigeration output while significantly reducing fuel consumption. It is available in PIEK (city version) and silent versions, offering improved sound performance over the standard unit and making it ideal for both long haul and urban operations.

Carrier Transicold E-Drive technology, a mainstay of the company’s trailer systems since 1999, removes the need for mechanical transmissions found in belt-driven refrigeration systems and converts engine power into electricity to drive the unit. It also builds on the Vector HE 19 unit’s proven performance of a hermetic compressor and economizer, as well as the efficiency of a microchannel heat exchanger condenser. Combined with the new variable frequency drive management that continuously alters the motor speed to match the air demand, it delivers greater efficiency, reduces the risk of refrigerant leaks and significantly lowers fuel consumption.

This new Vector HE 17 system contributes to Carrier’s aim to reduce its customers’ carbon footprint by more than one gigaton as part of its 2030 Environmental, Social and Governance goals. For more information on Carrier Transicold products and services, visit www.carrier.com/truck-trailer/en/eu/.
