Carrier Transicold Showcases Electrification, Low-GWP Refrigeration and Connected Fleet Innovations at IAA Transportation 2026

Carrier Transicold will showcase new solutions designed to help refrigerated transport fleets accelerate electrification, reduce emissions and improve operational efficiency at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hannover, Germany. Highlights at the stand include the recently launched [R]eCool battery system, new Lynx Fleet digital capabilities, advances in A2L refrigerant technology and a new digital solution to support service needs.

Advancing Fleet Electrification

Carrier Transicold continues to expand its portfolio of electrification solutions to help customers adopt lower-emission refrigerated transport technologies.

Visitors can see [R]eCool, a recently launched 38.5-kWh battery system engineered as a lifecycle energy solution for electric and hybrid transport refrigeration units (TRUs). Designed to remain productive across multiple vehicle phases with a lifespan of up to 16 years, [R]eCool is available for new installations and as a retrofit option for existing Vector^® HE, Vector^® and compatible third-party units. It helps operators extend the value of existing fleet investments while advancing electrification goals.

The stand will also feature Carrier Transicold’s future platform for light commercial and truck battery electric vehicles (BEVs), the Syberia 14 for rigid trucks, and the Eco-Drive and eCool-Drive power systems, including the latest SAF e-Axle Power Generator, which captures energy from trailer motion to support electric refrigeration on the road. These solutions give customers multiple practical ways to reduce reliance on diesel-powered refrigeration.

To help simplify fleet electrification, Carrier Transicold is also introducing two new Lynx Fleet capabilities:

• Battery Health provides continuous monitoring and actionable insights into battery condition across the eCool and [R]eCool battery range, helping fleets maximize uptime, plan maintenance proactively and protect long-term asset value.
• Low-Emission Zone (LEZ) Management automatically switches compatible hybrid refrigeration units from diesel to battery-powered operation when entering designated LEZs, helping fleets comply with urban access regulations, reduce emissions and simplify operations.

Advancing Cold Chain Sustainability with A2L Refrigerants 

Carrier Transicold continues to advance cold chain decarbonization through the low-GWP A2L refrigerant R454A, which offers up to 89% lower GWP than the industry-standard R452A. Through its patented Safety by Design approach, which combines enhanced TRU design, continuous refrigerant leak detection and an automatic two-stage protective response, the company is helping accelerate safe A2L adoption across the industry while maintaining the performance and reliability customers expect. The Vector HE 17 refrigeration unit running on R454A will be on display at the stand. 

Driving Operational Efficiency Through Connected Solutions

Visitors also will see how Carrier Transicold continues to improve fuel efficiency across its trailer refrigeration range, including the Vector HE 19, the low-GWP refrigerant Vector HE 17 and the Vector S 15. The Vector HE 19 fuel optimization upgrade, for example, can reduce fuel consumption by up to 19% through a software upgrade with no hardware changes required — building on platform performance that already delivers up to 30% fuel savings compared with the legacy Vector 1550. Combining connected technologies, advanced analytics and efficiency-enhancing capabilities, these solutions help customers lower fuel use, reduce operating costs, improve performance and support sustainability goals. 

As part of its commitment to enhancing the customer experience through the entire product lifecycle, Carrier Transicold will also introduce a new digital service innovation designed to give customers faster access to service and support resources to keep their operations running efficiently.
