Controls and monitoring

In many cases, cooling/heat for the built environment is no longer generated by means of conventional boilers and refrigeration units. Heat reclaim, heat pumps, free cooling and ATES installations are practically commonplace. The desired energy savings and operational reliability are, however, far from being fully realised all the time. A good (control) design and monitoring of the installation are important here.

Information about the training:

In many cases, cooling/heat for the built environment is no longer generated by means of conventional boilers and refrigeration units. Heat reclaim, heat pumps, free cooling and ATES installations are practically commonplace. The desired energy savings and operational reliability are, however, far from being fully realised all the time. A good (control) design and monitoring of the installation are important here.

The training gives insight into:

  • The points to consider when choosing free cooling, heat reclaim, the type of liquid chiller or heat pump.
  • Prerequisites and operating range of heat pumps and liquid chillers, including adjustability and adjustment range.
  • Possible control and (data) coupling with building management systems.
  • Practical examples including live monitoring via Carrier Connect™.

Intended for:

Facility managers, service managers, control technicians and advisors.
