Carrier Introduces the TruVu Isolated Network Router for the i-Vu Building Automation System

Kennesaw, Ga. -

Carrier is proud to announce the expansion of its TruVu™ controller line for the i-Vu® building automation system. The new TruVu Isolated Network Router isolates building automation networks from customer enterprise IP networks while still allowing BACnet communication, thus helping to ensure that data on both networks remains secure. Carrier is a part of Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE: CARR), global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions.

The i-Vu building automation system provides seamless management of Carrier HVAC systems, delivering centralized control and comprehensive visibility of building operations. Facility managers can efficiently oversee HVAC and other building systems via an intuitive user interface, accessible both locally and remotely. i-Vu optimizes energy efficiency and occupant comfort by precisely controlling temperature, humidity, and air quality. Its scalable design is ideal for diverse applications, including office buildings, schools, and healthcare facilities.

The latest TruVu Isolated Network Router (part number TV-ISO-E2) provides enhanced security and streamlined network management for the i-Vu building automation system. Featuring a compact design with dual IP ports, it enables daisy-chain Ethernet connections for straightforward installation at customer sites. Compatible with i-Vu version 9 and later systems, the router supports robust BACnet routing capabilities across IP, Ethernet, BACnet/SC, and MS/TP networks, and is BTL listed for interoperability and compliance with BACnet standards.

A key feature of the new TruVu Isolated Network Router is its IP isolation capability. It acts as a crucial security layer by separating building automation IP devices from business networks, protecting against unauthorized access and cyber threats. The device is designed to be IT-friendly, simplifying network management by requiring only a single enterprise IP address for all devices on the isolated network. Additionally, it streamlines deployment with a built-in DHCP server for its isolated network, reducing configuration and installation time.

“We are excited to introduce the TruVu Isolated Network Router,” said Dominic Eorio, Controls Business Manager, Carrier. “By enhancing network security and simplifying installation, we continue to set new standards in building automation technology.”
