There are many different skill sets in the life of a field technician — engineering, IT infrastructure, technical support, and computer programming, to name a few. This video training tutorial will educate field technicians and engineers on the basic use of ViewBuilder.
The Gold ViewBuilder Essentials course has been developed for Carrier Field Office field technicians/engineers who are new to the Carrier i-Vu® Tools hardware and software.

The Gold ViewBuilder Essentials course has been developed for Carrier Field Office field technicians/engineers who are new to the Carrier i-Vu® Tools hardware and software.

After successfully completing this course, you will have a working knowledge of the ViewBuilder application and its option as well as editing equipment graphics and floor plan graphics.

Self-Paced Video Tutorial: This self-paced video tutorial is the prerequisite to the ViewBuilder Advanced course.
- ViewBuilder Overview: Tour the Workspace and Tools • Add an Image • Add a Symbol • Align, Arrange, and Draw Objects • Place Controls to Display Live Values • Explore the Symbol Library
- Work with Equipment Graphics: Edit a Graphic to Match a Control Program • Change the Workspace Size • Upgrade to the Latest Graphics Library Symbols • Working with Layers • Show/Hide a Layer’s Objects • Using Local Variables in Conditional Expressions • Program Variable Color Text • Show/Hide a Control • Create a .touch File
- Work with Floor Plan Graphics: Program the Floor Plan Graphics • Program the Thermographic Summary Graphic • Add More Zones to a Floorplan
The virtual class requires a laptop with these specifications:
