    The Gemini™ 40RU and 38AU series indoor air handlers and outdoor units provide a wide variety of options for your HVAC application needs. These units are designed for long dependable operation whether it’s a rooftop or on-the-ground installation. All Gemini 38AU Condensing Units and 40RU Fan Coils use environmentally sound Puron® refrigerant. Together, they create a reliable split system that provides easy solutions to a wide range of commercial HVAC needs.

    The 40RU series have a multi-position design that allows for vertical or horizontal installation with no modifications. Powerful fan systems allow easy adaptation to existing ductwork. For heating capability, the 40RU’s allow for field installed electric heaters, hot water coils, or steam coils.

    Performance Features

    • Uses field-supplied Puron® (R-410A) refrigerant.
    • Non-corroding drain pans.
    • Cleanable insulation treated with an anti-microbial agent.
    • Fan motor options allowing more complex new or replacement air distribution systems.
    • Powerful belt-driven forward curved centrifugal fans.
    • Durable die-formed galvanized steel casings.
    • Direct expansion cooling coils are rated in accordance with ARI standard 340/360 when paired with Carrier 38A cooling only condensing units.

    Reliability Features

    • Precision thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) with removable power element on each circuit.
    • Motor overload protection of internal automatic reset thermal overload protection.
    • Designed and constructed in accordance with UL 1995 standard.
    • Listed with ETL and ETL, Canada.

    Installation Features

    • Vertical or horizontal installation without modification.
    • Simple voltage conversion on tri-voltage 208/230/460-3-60 motors.
    • Front or bottom return air intake.
    • Two sloped condensate pans for horizontal or vertical applications.
    • Simple condensate drain pan adjustment for right-hand or left-hand operation.
    • Easy-access 24-volt control terminal block for easy thermostat wiring.
    • Single point electrical power connection for fan motor and accessory electrical heaters.

    Maintenance Features

    • Removable side panel allows access to virtually all components.
    • Permanently lubricated, sealed motor bearings.
    • Easy filter replacement with slide-out retainer.
