Under the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2016 (“ rules ”), it is necessary for the e-waste to be properly channelized till the stage of its recycling and final disposal. Improper handling and dumping of e-waste in landfills contaminates the soil and the water resources. Hence, it is imperative that the electrical and electronic equipment’s that are rendered useless on account of the end of its life or any accidental breakage or damage, is disposed off in a manner that is not detrimental to the conservation of the environment and does not cause any health hazard to any living beings. With a view to attain this objective, certain responsibilities have to be borne by all the concerned stakeholders including the producer, dealer, dismantler, recycler and also the consumer, involved in the production, use and disposal of the electronic equipment’s.
Please be aware that you are a responsible consumer under the e-waste Rules. Kindly take note of the symbol below which connotes that you should not dump any of the electrical and electronic equipment’s including Carrier air-conditioners in garbage bins, neither should you dispose off the same through any scrap dealers.

We, Carrier Air conditioning & Refrigeration Limited being producer as per E-waste (Management) Rules, 2016, hereby declare that all the EEE, being offered for sale in the country by our company and covered in the Schedule – I of the E-waste (Management) Rules, 2016 conform to the Reduction of Hazardous Substances provisions of E-waste (Management) Rules, 2016.
ANNUAL MAINTENANCE CONTRACTS
Our air conditioners contain various components and inputs that are technical in nature and it is important that any repair or replacement of any of the components of the air conditioners is done only by the personnel authorized by Carrier. We recommend that you avail annual maintenance services by Carrier, in order to optimize the performance and the life span of your air conditioners and also to ensure their safe and proper handling.
