First Used Aire Max services about 3 years ago, and knew them to be reliable, no nonsense and competent contractor. When I received Carrier email with error code on Monday morning, I simply texted it to Max. with a note that the furnace had trouble reaching the desired temperature and was cycling up/down frequently. He diagnosed it as likely pressure switch failure, suggesting he could visit next morning. At 3:30 he called as I was leaving the house, that he is able come in half hour. We kept Tuesday am appointment, which confirmed his suspicion and discovered a leak from likely cracked heat exchanger. Short discussion of costs involved to repair this 18 year old furnace indicated that a new furnace replacement was in order.
