Carrier Infinity HVAC (Furnace, A/C and Infinity Wall Control)
It is hard to believe that after spending $12,500 on this system that the Infinity wall control does not display the outdoor temperature as shown in just about every video I watched. This was definitely a surprise. All of the videos I watched made it appear that this was such a simple thing. After installation training/assistance setting up the Infinity control was minimal. The Serial Number of the A/C does not appear on the Service drop\-down menu of the Infinity control. It would be better to have a A/C coil installed that was not encased in sheet metal and not serviceable (not accessible for inspection or cleaning). This is a serious design flaw given the damage that water from a defective A/C coil can do to the heat exchanger sitting just below it. I witnessed this first hand a week after our installation. A six\-year old furnace had to be replaced because the A/C coil above it leaked water all over the heat exchanger and blower fan. I have never seen so much rust on mechanical equipment.
