IThe old A/C had been only working intermittently. The company that had the service contract was slow to respond, and didn't know how to identify or fix the problem. The technician at Redstar knew immediately what was wrong. It was clear that he was an expert. By the time I called Redstar in the compressor had failed, so I had to install a new unit. They found me a new unit that best fit my requirements, and installed it the next day. They would have installed it the same day except one of their installation techs had been overcome by the heat and humidity so we jointly agreed to wait until the next morning when it would be cooler. Wish I had known about Red Star years ago!!!!!
I have had several AC companies come out for the past 10 years to try and get my AC system cooling more evenly. Every company said that it was a ducting issue and there was nothing that could be done. My AC quit working and I called Red Star\-\-they had a tech out that day and he spent a couple of hours figuring out the issue. He told me we had a ducting problem and that they could reroute the ducting\-\-I almost fell over! The owner of the company came out that night at 9 p.m. (we live in Houston and no AC is impossible in June) and looked at out ducting so he could draw out a new scheme. The techs were at our door the next morning with everything they needed for the 2 day job. They worked until 8 p.m. but finished everything in one day! And my AC has never worked so well. Customer service after the installation has been excellent\-\-I call and they send out someone right away. Special shout out to Eric, the Head Tech and to Joe, the owner. Red Star is professional, knowledgeable and treats their customers right.
