Good work, marginal service
I have used Deljo for a few years now for routine maintenance for two different properties I own. This is the first major installation that I have had to do since I became a customer of theirs. Unfortunately I was somewhat disappointed in the level of service they provided, which according to their marketing materials is a big selling point. First I did some comparative shopping, and I thought that the price points for installation were on the high side. However, given the excellent reputation of Deljo and the fact that I was enrolled in a service plan with them, I decided to use them with the expectation that I would receive stellar customer service in addition to high\-quality work. Unfortunately that was not the case. I had both a furnace and a tankless water heater installed. The furnace was installed without issue, but due to a venting issue requiring extra work, the water heater installation wasn't able to be completed in the time frame promised, which was 1.5 days. This is understandable, but the technician did not contact me to discuss this nor did he effectively communicate it with my tenant. My tenant was without hot water for three days, and the technician never followed up to tell him or me when he would be returning to complete the job. I had to reach out to the technician on several occasions before the issue was resolved. In all my tenant was without hot water for almost a week. The technician became harder and harder to reach (I tried e\-mail, phone calls, and text messages) once the job was started. I seriously considered canceling my service plans for two different properties with Deljo because of the very poor communication, but unfortunately it appears my warranty will only be honored if Deljo continues to maintain the equipment. I will give begrudgingly give Deljo another chance, but I will never again use the same technician for any future major installations.
