I did lots of research via reviews and BBB stats to find 3 a/c companies to call for quoting a new unit. I was extremely impressed with Sunshine A/C Inc. website. It was so informative and forthcoming it left me highly informed about their company. Aside from the normal sales info and mission statement on many websites they even displayed their core values and "employee" code of ethics! Right from the very first contact to set up a quote with Mary to Ray arriving for the quote you can sense the professionalism. Ray had explained in detail about the equipment. I had two air handlers that had coils that failed. I got quotes from three dealers and Sunshine Air Conditioning wasn't the lowest price but they were close. Ray was very professional gathering the information and preparing the proposal. But all three said they could only replace the coil not the entire air handler because they didn't think a new air handler would be compatible with the compressor. I was uneasy with replacing the coils because they only came with a one year warranty and I had already replaced them a few years ago. The cost of an entirely new system was more than I could afford. I spoke with Ray again to express my concerns and he offered to contact the manufacturer. After some research, they found that new air handlers were in fact compatible with the existing compressors. Of the 4 AC companies we had come out, these guys were the most professional. Matt was very good with evaluating our home as to its needs. Our old system wouldn't cool the home properly, was very inefficient, old, and started to nickle and dime us. It was determined that there wasn't enough air returning to the air handler so the house never obtained set temperature and was constantly running. Another air return, increasing cfm of air being circulated, and the new Carrier components are doing a fantastic job of keeping us comfortable. These guys weren't the cheapest, but they definitely weren't the most expensive either. Matt's professionalism and knowledge are what sold us. My wife and I knew before he left we were going with Sunshine A.C. and are very glad we did. The most expensive isn't always the best. The cheapest isn't always the way to go. We'll be doing our business with Sunshine and promoting them too.

I could not be more pleased with the manner in which my outage was handled by the members of Sunshine A/C. Sunshine's response was FAST! When it was apparent that the problem was very serious, I was counseled on my options, not pressured, and I was given sufficient information to make the best decision for me regarding repair or replacement of my system. The crew arrived at the stated time and very professionally set about removing the old 11\-1/2 year system and installing a completely new system. When they started, they stated the time that the new unit would be up and cooling and to my pleasant surprise, they hit it right on the head. All waste and old components were cleanly removed and the area was left in perfect shape. The new system has performed even better than I expected. My home cools faster and dehumidifies better..... and it is sooo quiet. With the old system I could hear it running on the opposite side of the house. With the new system, most times I need to go to a side window that overlooks the Carrier compressor unit, or go to the garage unit to hear that it is running. Thank you to Sunshine and its very personable and professional staff for a great result with my new Carrier system.

Matt explained the new law in Sumter County, FL allowing the installation of a split unit for dehumidifying the lanai, an area of the house that could not be occupied for most of the year. He advised me to wait for a Carrier product because it would be less expensive. The workmen, Darby and Scott, were prompt, courteous, and tidy as they installed the parts of the unit in the lanai, in the attic, and at the side of the house. The outside unit was carefully placed so it would not disturb the landscaping. Matt explained how to shift the louvers to change the direction of the air flow, and how to understand the words and icons on the control. He also managed the building permit so I did not have to do anything.
