Dissatisfied with Professionalism and Care of Equipment
When you buy equipment equivalent to the cost of a car, that equipment must be handled with care and respect and in a manner as to provide at least 10 to 15 years of service. American Conditioned Air installed the air handler on a substandard filter box, which collapsed a day after they installed the air handler. This meant they had to return, cut the coolant lines, remover the air handler and re-install a new filter box. This would also mean, I must have lost some of my Carrier, factory installed coolant in the system, due to them having to pump down the coolant and cut and re-braze the lines. American Conditioned Air, the first team, installed three of the five jumper wires on the control board incorrectly. I pointed this out to the return team and they re-connected the jumper wires correctly. Finally, of six sheet metal screws fastening the covers on both the compresser electrical box and the air handler electrical box, they stripped four, using their electric screw drivers. They should have removed and installed them by hand in order not to damage an $18,000 dollar installation. I had to go to Ace hardware and buy larger sheet metal screws to fasten the panels. I have declined their offers for service since the installation. I do not want my access panel screws continually stripped. I can replace filters, I know to keep the air flow louvers on the outdoor compressor unit clear and clean.
