Carrier invites engineers, design build contractors and installers, facility and IT managers, school administrators and education board members to a webinar focused on leveraging the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER Fund) to achieve healthier, safer and more secure learning and working environments in K-12 schools. The hour-long, complimentary webinar features an expert panel discussing solutions to help schools assess and update their HVAC, fire and security systems. Dr. Joseph Allen, Director of the Healthy Buildings Program at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, will present research connecting human cognitive and performance benefits to indoor air quality (IAQ), in support of student performance, academic outcomes, and greater staff retention. Discussions will include actionable recommendations for school building infrastructure improvements ranging from HVAC replacement or retrofit solutions, to managing occupancy levels, to enhancing evacuation processes.

Reagan Lynch, Federal & State Government Grant Specialist, Alpha Omega Strategies, will cover how school districts can secure ESSER funds and utilize them to further their school goals. ESSER funds can be used for access control and mobile credentialing technologies to customize access, reduce touch points, manage occupancy and distribute mass notifications.
