Fred Habegger grew up in the HVAC industry. His father owned a small distributorship in Cincinnati, OH, and Fred spent many summers working in the office and warehouse. He joined the team full-time in June 1963 after graduating with a degree in Business Administration and was later joined by his two younger brothers and oldest sister. Together with his wife Nancy, they grew the company.
The family business, Habegger Corporation, persisted through the many world and industry challenges between the ’70’s-’90s. When other businesses held tight and even retracted, Fred led the charge to expand. He sought opportunities to grow the business, both fiscally and geographically. Habegger Corporation is now the seventh largest HVAC equipment, parts, and supplies distributor in the U.S. and recently celebrated its 70th anniversary.
