the reason I had to get this furnace is because the previous Carrier furnace failed , just after 18 years of use. Remember I only heat my house 6 months of the year, so really I only had 9 years of use on the heat exchanger. It was warranty for life, but the install fee did not make sense to not install a new one. Carrier offered 700 $ value on the old furnace, which was not enough in my view, should have been 1200 $.

Both my wife and I wanted the best furnace on the market, and that is exactly what we got. Its very quiet, and we have a noticeably constant temperature, our old furnace would cycle cold to to hot but this furnace is very much constant temp. We both love it. When the sales man came over after We requested the visit They tried to talk me into some other no\-name make a a lower rate, but I only wanted the best and Carrier was our choice. We also look forward to the A/C unit but will need to wait til next summer to enjoy our Carrier A/C

The blower motor is somewhat louder that I would expect from a high performance furnace. Otherwise it appears to function well with regards its heat output.

1. To the original owner on eligible equipment for eligible residential applications. Warranty period is 5 years if not registered within 90 days. Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a 10-year parts limited warranty, which can be changed to the 5-year parts, plus a 3-year labor option on eligible equipment within the first 90 days after installation. The 5-year parts, plus 3-year labor warranty option is available only if the installing dealer/contractor has elected to participate in the Consumer Choice warranty program and has accepted the Consumer Choice dealer terms and conditions.
2. To the original owner on eligible equipment for eligible residential applications. Lifetime heat exchanger parts limited warranty period is 20 years if not registered within 90 days. Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a lifetime heat exchanger parts limited warranty. See warranty certificate for details.
This furnace does not comply with SCAQMD Rule 1111 or SJVAPCD Rule 4905, which places a NOx emission limit of 14 ng/J. Therefore, this unit is not eligible to be installed in the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) nor the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD).
