We have a big old barn of a cottage roofed house. Our home was built in 1966 and it came complete with working milk door and single paned windows. When we bought the house it had had a furnace installed for each floor, separate thermostats and a conventional fireplace for backup heat. We chose to install a 2 stage condensing furnace \- the largest that we could find \- and we froze for three months of the year. We resorted to hanging blankets over the windows, putting on our outside clothes and huddling in front of supplemental electric heaters. This new furnace from Carrier is a dream. It heats the entire house within 15 minutes \-and has excellent air flow. Our only complaint is that the blower fan has a bit of a squeak, and the forced air noise is quite audible. \- But we will accept that. We are warm for the first time in 10 years.

Furnace temperature is not regulating and blows very unsafe hot air for few minutes

We replaced our old furnace with this new model (59TP6) this month (March 2017). We have been having issues with the furnace. It appears that temperature is not regulating as temperature monitors in one rooms go up to 140 F for a few minutes before returning to normal. I thought that temperature monitor were defective but the same issue after replacing the monitors. This issue is observed more if thermostatic fan is set to "Automatic" and less if the fan is set to "Circulating". We also had an issue with condensate leaking. We are not sure that this is an equipment issue or installation issue, but it has been headache and worrisome. We miss our old furnace with lasted more than 20 years.

Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a 10-year parts limited warranty, which can be changed to the 5-year parts, plus a 3-year labor option on eligible equipment within the first 90 days after installation. The 5-year parts, plus 3-year labor warranty option is available only if the installing dealer/contractor has elected to participate in the Consumer Choice warranty program and has accepted the Consumer Choice dealer terms and conditions.

This furnace does not comply with SCAQMD Rule 1111 or SJVAPCD Rule 4905, which places a NOx emission limit of 14 ng/J. Therefore, this unit is not eligible to be installed in the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) nor the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD).
