Venting system froze 1st winter after installation. Was vented thru 2nd floor attic with poor angle and no insulation. Was cut out, reinstalled \& I was assured that it now met the manufacturers requirements. It froze again. I chose a different hvac company this time \& was advised that it never should have been done this way in Alberta, regardless of the instructions that say it can be. It cost roughly $1,000 to have venting changed so it was vented through a hole in the basement wall. My recommendation is that if you live in colder climates, insist that it be vented in that fashion. Also suggest that carrier change their installation guide for Alberta.

1. To the original owner on eligible equipment for eligible residential applications. Warranty period is 5 years if not registered within 90 days. Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a 10-year parts limited warranty, which can be changed to the 5-year parts, plus a 3-year labor option on eligible equipment within the first 90 days after installation. The 5-year parts, plus 3-year labor warranty option is available only if the installing dealer/contractor has elected to participate in the Consumer Choice warranty program and has accepted the Consumer Choice dealer terms and conditions.
2. To the original owner on eligible equipment for eligible residential applications. Lifetime heat exchanger parts limited warranty period is 20 years if not registered within 90 days. Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a lifetime heat exchanger parts limited warranty. See warranty certificate for details.
This furnace does not comply with SCAQMD Rule 1111 or SJVAPCD Rule 4905, which places a NOx emission limit of 14 ng/J. Therefore, this unit is not eligible to be installed in the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) nor the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD).
