New Carrier Furnace - January 2018
February 26, 2020
I've been asked to rate the product (new furnace), but how does a consumer do so? The noise level seems relatively low, but does it distribute heat evenly, or is the fan working hard enough to push the hot air through to the top of the house? Not sure. Does Carrier offer guidance or suggestions on how to rate (without bias)? Robin

Love, love, love my new Carrier Furnace! The thermostat is a little complicated for an old guy, but there is no denying this is a great furnace. It is so quiet you don't know its even on.
Issue with my Brand New Furnace!
February 26, 2020
Immediately after installation of my new furnace, I have had a problem which as not yet been rectified specifically, every morning a some afternoon's the system reports "21\-GAS HEAT LOCKOUT" and as you may have guessed, the furnace does not work. I then have to go down to the furnace and give a tap on this one piece of the furnace of which the system then works as desired. The individual who had completed the installation is supposed to pick up the replacement part and exchange it sometime in the near future.
Quiet operation

So far we are happy with the new furnace. Only time will tell if it meets or exceeds expectations of more efficient heating. Impressed with the quietness of the unit. We can hardly hear it when it is on.
All in all, quite happy.

We had this furnace installed by our local dealer on December 11th of this year. While our installer may have over sold the unit, gave us information that was not totally accurate. I will say this. This furnace is not bad. Reasonably quiet, as in we barley notice it running. The "My Infinity" thermostat was a very costly add on. I am still trying to decide if it was worth the $600.00 price tag or not. It does offer some nice features like total cost of ownership, motion sensitive thermostat, and outdoor thermometer. Sadly, I will have to get my thermometer moved. Where they installed it, not even close to a curate outside temperature. After all is said and done, I am quite happy with the furnace we had installed. It is \-25 Celsius outside today. So far... The furnace does keep up. Once we hit the minus 35 to minus 40... That will tell the rest of the story. If you are looking to have a furnace installed... I would easily recommend Carrier. As I said, the My Infinity thermostat I feel is a very expensive add on, and in my opinion.. not worth it.

The furnace works great. I have not figured out how to set up the app on my phone yet. Have not been able to get any help doing it. When I called they sent me some instructions. still have not been able to figure it out. Guess I will just delete it. Can't get through anyone on the phone to help.
