The furnace worked well for 5 years and a month before the anniversary a part failed. The thing that I was disappointed to learn is that I only have a 5 year warranty, when it could have been a 10 year warranty had I known to register it when I bought the house. Carrier wouldn't allow the warranty to be backdated from the possession date even though I am the original home owner.

the unit is very noisy, had a whine...installer said they could fix by putting a new intake grill..about $200...Hard to find filters with electrostatic properties, Lowes quit carrting them. Filter size is the problem..learned the had-way....says it uses 25" but is actually is 24 3/4 and the other dimension is wrong also..Installer who also services the unit charges appro$80/filter. In order to get filter that fits I had to order from Amazon{I hate that} but had to settle for a non electrostatic filter.

thermostat put in wrong place...near bottom of steps from second floor and AC runs more there and of corse the cold air comes down steps and indicates temp is good on first floor....very cold upstairs and very warm down and the opposite is true during winter months.

Early on Problems....furnace blew cold air. Hot air would kick in then shut down. Erratic functioning. Dealer maintenance person removed & cleaned flame sensor. Problem still existed & 4 days later service person determined the gas valve was sticking & not opening. The valve needed to be replaced. The furnace has been working okay since.

Had some early on problems. The furnace blew cold air sporadiclly the first 4 months. Service calls in February 2020. The gas valve was sticking \& not opening properly. The gas valve was replaced. The furnace is now working as it should.

1. To the original owner on eligible equipment for eligible residential applications. Warranty period is 5 years if not registered within 90 days. Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a 10-year parts limited warranty, which can be changed to the 5-year parts, plus a 3-year labor option on eligible equipment within the first 90 days after installation. The 5-year parts, plus 3-year labor warranty option is available only if the installing dealer/contractor has elected to participate in the Consumer Choice warranty program and has accepted the Consumer Choice dealer terms and conditions.

This furnace does not comply with SCAQMD Rule 1111 or SJVAPCD Rule 4905, which places a NOx emission limit of 14 ng/J. Therefore, this unit is not eligible to be installed in the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) nor the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD).
