I am not sure if the equipment is working properly yet, this summer had to find an hvac friend, different carrier rep, to wire the thermostat correctly, as the AC would not turn on,. I am wondering if the furnace is hooked up correctly as well, as for being a variable furnace it isnt suppose to start at high, it start at a low speed and work its way up like our triple stage did before it went out. The dealer who installed it was horrendous as had to check with other dealers on the correct installation method and then argue with them to do it the right way. They even forgot to install parts of the system required to get it to run correctly.Great Dane heating and cooling is the worse, do not use them.

Our 11\-year\-old High Efficiency Carrier Furnace had a rusted\-out heat exchanger and was condemned by HVAC technician. It was a bad couple of days because we had no heat. The replacement Carrier furnace has been fine. Hopefully it lasts longer than 11 years. Previous York furnace lasted for over 25 years.

Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a 10-year parts limited warranty, which can be changed to the 5-year parts, plus a 3-year labor option on eligible equipment within the first 90 days after installation. The 5-year parts, plus 3-year labor warranty option is available only if the installing dealer/contractor has elected to participate in the Consumer Choice warranty program and has accepted the Consumer Choice dealer terms and conditions.

This furnace does not comply with SCAQMD Rule 1111 or SJVAPCD Rule 4905, which places a NOx emission limit of 14 ng/J. Therefore, this unit is not eligible to be installed in the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) nor the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD).
