We had a 17 year old 97% Carrier Infinity and loved it. Now we have the 2017 98% Infinity and it is noisier upon start up, despite the modulating feature \& variable fan speed. Our windows continue to fog and ice up despite the promise of better humidity control. For the first 2 weeks after installation, each time the furnace came on, there was an awful smell which gave me headaches and breathing difficulty. Even my husband, who doesn't usually notice any chemical smells, immediately wondered what the chemical smell was coming from the furnace! Upon set up of the thermostat in the home by the installer, it was calibrated to 3 degrees C higher than factory setting. When people visit, they comment how cold it is in our home despite the higher temperature setting. We are hoping that by the time winter sets in our new Carrier Infinity performs better with its advanced features monitoring local weather parameters to provide comfortable heating \& humidity control.

The 5-year parts, plus 3-year labor warranty option is available only if the installing dealer/contractor has elected to participate in the Consumer Choice warranty program and has accepted the Consumer Choice dealer terms and conditions.

This furnace does not comply with SCAQMD Rule 1111 or SJVAPCD Rule 4905, which places a NOx emission limit of 14 ng/J. Therefore, this unit is not eligible to be installed in the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) nor the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD).
