This replaces an older two stage Infinity Gas furnace (96%) with variable speed blower. While it is a bit early to rate the overall satisfaction to date I can speak to what differences I have noticed. The Greenspeed furnace combined with the new communicating controller and zone controls has worked together to provide a much greater degree of comfort than I have had in the past (all three of these components replaced older Carrier products). My house is an older house with 12 foot ceilings. The furnace runs at a lower speed for a longer period of time allowing the rooms to warm up top to bottom to a much greater degree than before. The older furnace heated the air down to the thermostat (registers could only be installed in the ceiling), often at a higher blower speed, and then shut off leaving the areas close to the floor cooler. This product, so far, has provided a much more comfortable environment and a much quieter operation since it runs on lower speeds more often than the older Infinity that also had a variable speed blower. Since this has been a problem for many years I am rating the product(s) at five stars at this time. The installing company was able to also utilize my older Infinity A/C which is still working fine so that is a plus. Since I replaced a 96% Infinity Furnace, I do not expect to see noticeable changes in operational cost. When my A/C gives up the ghost I will definitely consider the variable speed A/C unit assuming that this unit proves reliable.

When the heat is generated by electric it blows cool when the gas system is engaged it is warmer I am told this is how a hybred system works and I am not satisfied after investing all this money

Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a 10-year parts limited warranty, which can be changed to the 5-year parts, plus a 3-year labor option on eligible equipment within the first 90 days after installation. The 5-year parts, plus 3-year labor warranty option is available only if the installing dealer/contractor has elected to participate in the Consumer Choice warranty program and has accepted the Consumer Choice dealer terms and conditions.

This furnace does not comply with SCAQMD Rule 1111 or SJVAPCD Rule 4905, which places a NOx emission limit of 14 ng/J. Therefore, this unit is not eligible to be installed in the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) nor the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD).
