Frustration

when it got cold in the winter of 2020/2021 the furnace started locking up nearly everday.Starting with code 33 and then code 13. Had to constantly reset the furnance. Dealer tried several remedies. Raising the furnace up for more air flow. Changed the motor and finally adjusted the gas pressure. By this time it was spring and warming up so wasnt an issue over the summer. Now its fall in Alberta again and we will see what happens. Also took out the infinity thermostat which was not running the air conditioner. When put in a basic thermostat the air conditioner started to work but the air flow was weak.

I doubt I would ever consider a Carrier product in the future based on 2 very bad experiences now.
Works flawlessly however the Infinity thermostat has difficulty maintaining a wifi connection.

The Infinity Thermostat has difficulty maintaining a wifi connection with modern routers and doesn't seem to be able to update itself.
Died just outside of warranty.

Inducer motor died after 5.5 years, so I get stuck with a $1600 repair on what was supposed to be a very reliable, and very expensive furnace.
New Chapter in Heating and Cooling

My house was built in 1908 and has had many forms of heating. I moved in here in Winter of 1952. This new heating/cooling system has made my golden years very comfortable, pure luxury! I am very impressed!

1. To the original owner on eligible equipment for eligible residential applications. Warranty period is 5 years if not registered within 90 days. Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a 10-year parts limited warranty, which can be changed to the 5-year parts, plus a 3-year labor option on eligible equipment within the first 90 days after installation. The 5-year parts, plus 3-year labor warranty option is available only if the installing dealer/contractor has elected to participate in the Consumer Choice warranty program and has accepted the Consumer Choice dealer terms and conditions.

This furnace does not comply with SCAQMD Rule 1111 or SJVAPCD Rule 4905, which places a NOx emission limit of 14 ng/J. Therefore, this unit is not eligible to be installed in the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) nor the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD).
