5in filter is nice, but door sticks

Solid air purifier option, electrostatic feature is nice although hard to know how effective. 5in filter definitely better than smaller models. Wish list / complaints \- \- door stick when changing filter and often doesn't engage. So no current to the electrostatic \- competitors make a carbon filter that filters out smells and is a really nice feature \- due to design filter doesn't collapse for shipping or disposal

Was installed as part of overall system. After start up the techs said the filter caused too much pressure differential and pulled out the element. No paper element fits as purifier is custom. Jammed several in place (low MERV rating). I finally had custom filters made. Not sure why this unit was recommended or why I paid for unit that doesn't work with my system.

Frequently throws codes where I either have to prematurely change the filter or clean all terminals with alcohol. Dealer did not know how to fix other than what I do. When it works, happy with it, but way too much maintenance. Personally, I think the whole thing should be changed out. Also, seeing carbon build up near the main high voltage electrode. Other equipment is good, but so far, cant recommend this unit. Low rating is due to reliability. However, does great when it works.

MERV is a filter efficiency standard ranging from 1 to 16 (higher MERV = higher efficiency). The Infinity air purifier achieves a MERV 15 rating based on third-party testing (2012) showing 95% of particles size 1.0 to 3.0 microns captured and 85% of particles size 0.3 to 1.0 microns captured.
To the original owner on eligible equipment for eligible residential applications. Warranty period is 5 years if not registered within 90 days. Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a 10-year parts limited warranty, which can be changed to the 5-year parts, plus a 3-year labor option on eligible equipment within the first 90 days after installation. The 5-year parts, plus 3-year labor warranty option is available only if the installing dealer/contractor has elected to participate in the Consumer Choice warranty program and has accepted the Consumer Choice dealer terms and conditions.
