New System Install plus new Ductwork
I had my 20 year old system replaced with a new Carrier system. Chuck came by my home to look at my setup, took picture, some notes, discussed the new system and answered all of my questions. Chuck was on time, very pleasant to work with and delivered the quote when promised. Joplin's installation crew, headed up by George, was excellent. Everyone on the crew was very pleasant, polite and knowledgeable. The initial estimate to do the install was two days, including ripping out the old system, all the old duct work and installing the new system and ductwork. Day 1 (11/21/17) the crew showed up at 8:30 as promised and immediately went to work. George and I surveyed the area and he explained the what's and how's of the work that was to be done. The crew worked diligently until knocking off time. They cleaned up the area and off they went. On day 2, the crew arrived at 8:00 as promised and immediately went back to work. Some roadblocks were experienced with the ductwork and system installation, but the crew solved the issues and kept on working. The goal was to complete the job by end of day 2, but that was not in the cards. They stayed on the job until they got the heater up and running and then stopped for the day at 8:30 that night. Unfortunately, for us, the next day was Thanksgiving so the crew was not available again until Monday. Monday morning, the crew shows up at 8:30 and completes the job by 1:00. Before they left, they policed the attic, cleaned up all scrap and trash, and even went to the extreme of taking a leaf blower in the attic to blow off the decked portions. What really stood out to me; the crew could have hurriedly completed the job on Wednesday night, in a roughshod manner and I probably would not have known. Instead, they took their time and professionally installed the system even though it took an extra half day. First off my complements to the installation crew for taking their time and doing the job right, secondly for Joplin to allow the crew to come back a third day, albeit a half day, to professionally complete the job. When it is time to replace my downstairs unit, I will buy the system from Joplin's and ask for George and his crew to do the install.
