Verified Purchase4 System Failures Twenty Days After Installation
May 25, 2026
Team Enoch installed a new Carrier HVAC system at my home on April 30, 2026. In 21 days the system has failed three times requiring 10+ service appointments with 4 different technicians. The following installation defects have been documented:
1. Electrical overcurrent: System was installed drawing 124 amps at startup against a 123-amp specification. This was never identified until the 10th+ visit by technician James Rodea, who installed a hard start kit reducing draw to 40 amps. This overcurrent condition is the root cause of two separate breaker failures on a brand new system.
2. Burned/fused wiring: Contactor wiring was burned and fused within days of installation. Photographed and documented by Team Enoch’s own technician.
3. Improper refrigerant handling: Technician Lonnie Jones recycled refrigerant during compressor replacement rather than replacing it — substandard practice that can introduce contaminants into a new compressor.
4. Incomplete diagnostics: No technician inspected the indoor attic air handler unit until the 10th+ visit despite repeated failures to deliver cold air — a symptom pointing directly to the indoor unit.
5. TXV failure: Diagnosed on May 20 as consistent with installation debris or damage. Still unresolved as of May 21.
6. Attempted warranty billing: Team Enoch billed me $175 for warranty repair work on May 6 which I had to dispute before it was waived.
