Hannover, Germany -

Stand E15, Hall 27 (25 september - 2 october, 2014)

Hannover, Germany, September 24th, 2014 — Carrier Transicold will unveil an important milestone in the development of a natural refrigerant for over-the-road transport and other customer-driven innovations and services for an efficient and sustainable cold chain at the International Motor Show (IAA) 2014. Carrier Transicold, which operates the UK as Carrier Transicold UK, helps improve global transport and shipping temperature-controlled cargoes with a complete line of equipment for refrigerated trucks, trailers and containers, and is a part of UTC Building & Industrial Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX). (25 september - 2 october, 2014)

This milestone was reached through the production of a natural refrigerant trailer prototype unit, on display publically for the first time. It uses carbon dioxide (CO2), a natural refrigerant that has less impact on global warming than refrigerants currently used in conventional transport refrigeration systems.

The prototype will be shown inside an exclusive “innovation lab” built within Carrier Transicold’s stand. The new Vector™ 1350 trailer unit is making its IAA debut following an international launch in November 2013. The Vector 1350 unit completes the Vector line of three specialized refrigeration units designed to suit a multitude of customer applications from long haul to distribution.

Carrier Transicold is also presenting its range of cold chain solutions for pharmaceutical transport, which intends to support the requirements set out in the recently published chapter “Transportation Quality & Integrity,” within the European Commission’s “Guidelines on Good Distribution Practice of Medicinal Products for Human Use” (94/C 63/03). In addition to displaying new products, visitors can also learn about Carrier Transicold’s enhanced full-service maintenance package, renamed everCOLD™.

Officially launching at IAA, everCOLD offers customers added flexibility in the event their fleet size changes during the contract term. Carrier Transicold is showcasing its new 24/7 year-round incident management service, oneCALL™, which gives customers access to an expanded network of more than 600 service points in 59 countries across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
