Evaporator Coil

An evaporator coil, also referred to as an indoor coil, is installed with your furnace and helps complete your air conditioner or heat pump system. Its purpose is to cool and dehumidify the air by converting liquid refrigerant into a gas, which absorbs heat from the air. The warmed refrigerant then travels the line-set to the outdoor unit (condenser coil) and the heat is displaced to the outside air.
