Meet Ms. Ruby from Atlanta, GA
Ms. Ruby is the type of woman who serves as the backbone of her community.
Alongside her late husband, she raised four children and then helped support five grandchildren and five more great-grandchildren in her Atlanta home. During that entire period, she lived without air conditioning.
So the 81-year-old was laughing with joy when she watched technicians install her new Carrier ductless home comfort system.
Today, her home is a gathering place for members of her neighborhood who congregate to enjoy the comfort of her new air conditioning system.
“It’s just been a wonderful experience to work with Habitat for Humanity to make my home a more comfortable place to share with my family and friends,” she said. “And the air conditioning system has made it so comfortable this summer.
Carrier donated more than 500 ductless home comfort systems to Habitat for Humanity this year, which allocated them to homeowners across the United States. Dozens of homeowners like Ms. Ruby are today more comfortable in their homes today thanks to these donated systems.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to be able to share our expertise in comfort with strong families like the one led by Ms. Ruby,” said Meredith Emmerich, managing director, Carrier, Ductless & VRF.
This summer, homeowners across the United States will beat the heat with the help of Carrier Ductless home comfort systems and Habitat for Humanity. Carrier has donated more than 500 systems to Habitat which will be installed in homes from Los Angeles to Hartford, CT and from Atlanta to South Bend, IN and Philadelphia. Carrier has been working with local Habitat organizations, distributors and Carrier Factory Authorized Dealers to install the donated systems.
