(1)After the fact, and reading through the company's website, I felt I was not provided a complete discussion & explanation of the options and costs to address the A/C and furnace replacement. I should have done my homework better and requested more details and costs on the options available to me in equipment (heat pump vs traditional A/C/furnace, geothermal option, etc.). From what I could see and understand on the company's website, it appears they carry higher efficiency equipment than what I purchased, but this was not made clear to me at the time of purchase. Lesson learned: be more persistent in understanding all the options before purchasing. 2. Have been calling each week since installation for the AHRI certs for my 2025 tax rebates. Have not yet received them (going into third month now). 3. The [email protected] email I received that has this survey has only three installed products listed. I had four products installed, and registered with Carrier according to another Carrier email that has the registration date of 30 March with four products, and the installed products serial numbers and model numbers are different than what I have on the product registration email I received from Carrier.

Nugent & Sons great to deal with, responsive to service requests, reasonable pricing. BUT, this installation has not been completed. We bought a new AC/Heat Pump to pair with existing Carrier gas furnace/air handler for a hybrid dual-fuel system. Problem is that outdoor unit lacks a temperature sensor, so system can't gauge outdoor temperature and then switch between the two heat sources (natural gas furnace or heat pump). Nugent is waiting for some Carrier part that is on back-order. So, I'm fine with Nugent but not at all happy with Carrier.

What a disaster!
It took one,(1), month to get the machine "working properly". Installation day: The board on the furnace was faulty. Two days later, the gas operating valve started leaking, we had to call the Washington Gas Co.The technician shut off the gas.We had no heat. A Nugent technician came the next day, changed the operating valve and because we complained that the house was very cold, determined that his company had installed the wrong indoor coil. Some days later, they changed the coil. Only to discover that the outdoor unit was ruined by the wrong coil. It took one week for Nugent Co. to get the new outdoor unit. In total, we have been inconvenienced for one,(1), month. Many of our things out of place and postponing our lives to accommodate the Nugent. Co. to get the right equipment. I,Teresa Johnson, Ernest Johnson's wife, am a lawyer. I think that the two, (2), companies: your and Nugent should give a cash back of our money for all the problems we endured. People:GET BETTER!

They are very clean and tidy. Put tarps down in your house everywhere they will be walking and wear shoe covers. The installation went very well with one exception. The tech who came did the original plan and estimate made an assumption about the circuit handling my old air handler i.e. it could be used to upgrade from 115 volt to the 230 volt required for the new air handler which usually is the case. But it turned out not to be the case and they had to pull through a new electric line. This was resolved satisfactorily but it would have been better to know about the problem up\-front. Also, they wound up having to move circuits (again not the original plan) in my Generac circuit box so I will have to go back and re\-number the circuit plan I keep for my house. Again not a big deal but not something I expected to have to do. John Nugent was replacing a system that they installed 26 years ago which finally had a problem which I might add they quickly and very cheaply resolved but I decided to replace it anyway. 26 years is a good run for an AC system and it required no service over those 26 years but I decided to replace it anyway. Hope this one goes 26 years as well!

Frontline experience with the people at John E. Nugent \& Sons was 1st rate. It started with RJ Parker whose visit to provide me a heat pump replacement proposal at the height of the hot Summer season, when my existing Carrier unit of 20 years was failing under unrelenting DC metro area temperatures in the high 90s for several days in a row, coupled with high humidity. As the busy cooling season meant most other competitors didn't return calls, RJ came by for a thorough walk through evaluating the current system indoor/outdoor and all connection lines in between, answering my probing questions, and provided a fair price proposal albeit the installation schedule would be weeks away \- it seemed all local HVAC contractors were swamped then. When my outdoor unit's motor and fan blades eventually could not keep up and failed before the scheduled date of the new HP installation, RJ immediately ordered and installed a brand new motor and fan blades (at no additional cost above the accepted proposal) that sustained me and my family with adequate cooling until the actual installation occurred 3+ weeks later. The next team who followed RJ for the actual new Carrier installation were professional and highly competent. This culminated in an efficient installation (Heat Pump and Water Heater) with minimal disruption. Today it's been a month since the installation was completed and I couldn't be happier with my new Carrier system and the installation by the J.E. Nugent \& Sons team.

My new Carrier Performance Heat Pump
John Nugent \& Son's installed a new Carrier Performance Series heat pump replacing our 20 year old RUUD heat pump. The three guys that showed up (Mike, Isaac, and Sergio) to do the job showed up early. They were very professional and knew what they were doing. It took them about 8 hours to complete the removal and install. The new one heats the house better and I love the new Honeywell WiFi thermostat. It was extremely easy to setup and program. The new unit looks wonderful and is much more efficient than the old one. My wife and I are very satisfied with it and the crew from John Nugent and Son's did a great job.

I knew I wanted a Carrier...and I found the right installer.
The (former) Carrier air handler in my home was still functioning at 41 years of age. However, I knew nothing lasts forever and figured I was on borrowed time with that system. So, I began my research into a variety of HVAC systems and arrived at the conclusion that I wanted another Carrier. Thanks to a referral from a friend, I added John Nugent \& Sons to the short list of contractors that I interviewed. I was glad I did. The Nugent team did a fantastic job with my heat pump/air handler installation. The installation team was efficient and thorough. The team arrived on time and worked diligently on my job, finishing ahead of schedule. Thanks to the pre\-install visit by the foreman, Nugent was able to configure my system to fit neatly in a tight area and avoid a personal annoyance I had with the previous system. What impressed me the most, however, was the approach of my sales rep, Mike. He could have tried needless upselling. Instead, he provided me information on the proper system for my home, not the most expensive. He said he would recommend to me the same system that he uses and that he would try hard to win my business. The sales visit was short, sweet, and to\-the\-point. Mike and the Nugent team certainly won my business, not just with the competitive price on the new system, but also with their obvious appreciation for quality customer service.

HVAC and Gas Water Heater Replacement
In the winter of January 2017, our home gas furnace blower motor failed after over 16 years of operation, so I immediately called John Nugent and Sons, who were local to our area and had a superb reputation. The service technician arrived well ahead of schedule, only a few hours after my call and quickly assessed the failure. Based on a complete assessment of my HVAC and water heater age and operating condition, I decided to replace the HVAC and gas water heater vice just replace the blower motor. On his own initiative, the service technician then gained approval to have the blower motor temporarily replaced at no charge, which enabled normal heat to our home until the full HVAC system could be installed the following week. The HVAC system and water heater were superbly replaced in just one day:\-)
