Condescending rude owner with incompetent installers
The installers were utterly incompetent. Repeatedly installed my 2 systems wrong. One of the times, their incompetence resulted in flooding through my ceiling causing damage. Gordon Dinger, the owner was condescending on the telephone and sent offensive and rude emails when I refused to pay them for the installation and the units until I was certain that both were running properly. In my 30 years of home ownership, I have never had such a bad experience with a contractor!

The installers, James, David, and later Kevin, got the unit working perfectly and left everything spotless. And the new HVAC is so quiet and maintains an amazingly even, comfortable indoor temperature despite all the temperature swings outside. The house seems less humid now, too. I am extremely happy with the new Carrier unit I purchased from Berkeley Heating Company. I have been using Berkeley since 2015 and 3 years ago my unit died; the Berkeley technicians were able to get me up and running, and told me they were 100% confident my unit would get me through the rest of the summer, but they could not guarantee it would get me through the next summer and that since my unit was so old I would eventually have to replace it. The work they did lasted 3 years which allowed me to save enough to replace it this year. I will never call another company. I have never had a bad experience with Berkeley; they are honest, professional, respectful, but more importantly they are well educated in their industry.
