Failures all around
We closed on a new home from DR Horton in December of 2019. We were not notified or left with any detailed paperwork or certificate of warranty by DR Horton, AirTron, or Carrier and as such, we were screwed out of getting the 5yr to 10 yr extension on the warranty for failing to register our products in the first 90 days. This is a failure on the parts of all 3 of these business partners and Carrier refuses to stand behind their product for 10 years unless you race to register the products? If they are worth having and warranting for 10 years, why wouldn't you just give it to homeowners upfront? Having a problem in year 2, we find out we only have 3 years left of warranty and Carrier customer service rudely let me know I was out of luck and they wouldn't be wavering despite their "gotcha" business plan. Airtron wants $89 just to diagnose plus labor even if the parts are faulty and it would take them 5 days to come out. Don't get me started on DR Horton... GREAT SERVICE ALL AROUND! Way to take care of your customers...
