New Furnace Issues while trying to keep warm.
The verdict is still out, true only took them 2 days after the purchase of the new unit to have it installed. Then they couldn't get it to run, almost took 3 days for them to get it to kind of run, while we were living off of electric heaters to keep above freezing in MI. They finally contacted carrier on day 2 of no heat as to why the B level thermostat wasn't working with the C level infinity furnace. Late yesterday, day 2, they were able to update the firmware per Carrier's slow call back, and we now have heat, but only max heat, as the infinity system only comes on with full blower and heat, not adjusting heating rate like it is supposed to, as our triple stage we had before this one did. I told them probably need a C level stat to go with the C level furnace, but said they haven't seen one yet. Have another appointment tomorrow late morning to hopefully get it working right. Isn't it possible for Carrier to overnight a C level thermostat to our residence for they can install a stat that works properly with the C level infinity furnace? At least we are out of the cold finally; Also, the stat is hooked up to our Wi\-Fi, but unable to connect to Carriers' servers, so unable to control Thermostat through my smart phone either. Never had such an issue putting in a new furnace, and a top of the line one to boot...in supplier defense, they are trying but inching along resolving issue while they wait on Carriers solutions to problems. .
