Not Representative of Carrier Brand and Values
Extremely dissatisfied. Dealer credibility and dependability a material concern with four years remaining on parts and labor warranty with dealer. Called dealer August 8, 2022 for non\-functioning air conditioner. Second service visit on August 17, 2022 resulted in order of condenser circuit board. Numerous calls to dealer into September 2022 on status as well as inquiries on alternative options (suggested different part supplier, sub\-contracting work, new condenser…) and dealer response always was: waiting on part. Dealer never called regarding circuit board and focus shifted from air conditioner to heating as furnace stopped operating. Service visit on September 30, 2022 resulted in order of secondary heat exchanger. Technician stated exchanger should be readily available due to early period of heating season. Based on recent air conditioner experience, found several OEM exchangers online and called dealer on October 6, 2022. Dealer said exchanger was on order and process normally takes 7 to 10 days. I advised dealer that OEM part was available online and asked for part number to confirm availability; dealer would not provide. Called dealer on October 12, 2022 and was then told delivery of part would be 4 to 6 weeks. Requested contact information of dealer's legal counsel to discuss situation; dealer would not provide. Called an authorized Carrier dealer in my area and was informed that their distributor had over 200 units of required exchanger in stock. Unacceptable experience not representative of Carrier name and values.
