We had a Carrier HVAC unit from 1997 where the aircon was struggling since late last Summer. We cleaned the coils and thought that would do the trick and keep it running I discussed issue with Jimmy and told him we were not ready to switch out since the furnace was still working well. Then come Spring, the air con's fan was busted and we did not want to put in any more $$ into the system to keep it going. It.Was.Time...We contacted Jimmy from Assurance and he provided us with different models/price range. We decided on sticking with Carrier since we had such good luck for so many years. Have an experienced technician.
Old unit removed and new unit installed by a technician and helper. However, the technician did not know how to wire and hook up new unit. Spent a night without heat until a more knowledgeable technician came the next day. If a techninian is installing the unit, they should know how to hook it up.
