During installation we heard the installers talking among themselves about how the system they were installing would not be sufficient to keep house cool. They were right. I wish they had mentioned their feelings to me before installing system. Installed system also did not pass inspection by town building inspector. The salesman came out quickly to price the job and was very friendly and confident. I emailed him several times with questions, and his responses were pretty much immediate every time. We scheduled the job and the team was here right on schedule. They did the work and cleaned up after themselves and showed me how to work the units \-\- all done in 6 hours. They had a tough job with the double brick exterior walls. They also had to deal with my awful crawl space, but they went right to work no complaints, despite the large spider they encountered. You couldn't pay me enough to do that job. Thank God for men. As far as the units themselves, on the first day the kitchen stayed warmer by 5 degrees than the rest of the house, even after running 9 hours, but I was told to be patient and it will all even out. Since then, the weather has been cool, so I haven't had a chance to really test it out for any length of time, but it's July so I'm sure there's more heat coming and I'll have an opportunity to run it.

I had requested an estimate from Ductworks and another well\-known dealer in Central Connecticut. Kurt came out and immediately knew how he would run the ductwork in our 1961 colonial (through the closets) and definitely gave me the feeling he knew what he was talking about. The other guy looked at our house and said, "I can't run ducting from the attic down to the first floor! Would you consider a ductless system?" On installation day, there was a whole team of knowledgeable people who did a terrific job, and the system worked great for a day before the house was gutted by an unrelated fire. I'm going to request Ductworks on the rebuild.
