Carrier® ChillerVu™ PSM-IO Module

Carrier ChillerVu is a sophisticated, scalable, native BACnet® control solution for chiller plant control and operation. It consists of a dedicated controller and a library of factory-engineered control programs that are specifically designed to cover the most common chiller plant configurations.

Carrier ChillerVu factory-engineered control programs, with “Plug ‘n Play” support for specific Carrier CCN® PIC chillers, are designed to provide efficient, automatic control over all aspects of a chiller plant, coordinating the control of chillers, pumps and towers into a finely tuned, cohesive system. Whether you have 2 or 20 chillers, the system is able to control Carrier 19, 23, or 30 series chillers (air- or water-cooled). Carrier ChillerVu also supports integration to chiller plant equipment using BACnet, LonWorks® and Modbus® protocols.

Hardware Features

  • Ethernet Port for LAN, BACnet IP, and/or Modbus TCP/IP communications
  • BACnet Port for BACnet MS/TP communications
  • Supports Auto-discovery of CCN® Devices on a RS-485 port
  • Supports up to 1000 integration points for other plant equipment using BACnet, Modbus® and LonWorks® protocol
  • Supports 20 I/O points directly (12 universal inputs, 8 universal outputs)
  • Supports up to (6) MPC Open XPIO expanders (in any combination) for additional point capacity (164 I/O points total)

Software Features

  • As part of i-Vu Tools, supports library-driven programming using EquipmentBuilder.
  • Supports custom programming using Snap
  • Supports i-Vu Pro user interface for startup & commissioning. NOTE: i-Vu Standard, i-Vu Plus, and Field Assistant are not supported at this time.
