ECS 101

This course is an introduction to the controls systems used in HVAC. The course is intended to people new to the controls part of the industry with an emphasis on how to develop a sequence of operation and translate that into a points list with controls that can provided appropriate functionality. Control terminology and action is covered and types of control systems are discussed. DDC control networks, which are the most common today, are discussed in detail.
