Carrier Transicold is presenting a number of efficient, sustainable, innovative products and solutions that benefit transport refrigeration customers at the 2019 Solutrans exhibition. Carrier Transicold is a part of Carrier, a leading global provider of innovative HVAC, refrigeration, fire, security and building automation technologies.
Vector® HE 19: The next generation of temperature-controlled trailer systems
Making its world premiere at Solutrans, the Vector HE 19 model in a multi-temperature version is PIEK certified and features a new, modern design that incorporates a range of innovations to significantly increase operational efficiency. Fuel consumption is improved by up to 30%, unit weight reduced by 10% and its design is optimized to reduce maintenance¹.
The Supra® range for trucks illustrates power, performance and durability
Also on display, the Supra family of products for trucks includes three ranges and models. The standard Supra® range, includes units mounted on the front of vehicles. The Supra U range includes the undermounted units and two new models: the Supra 900U and the Supra 1100U. And the Supra CNG, winner of four innovation awards since 2017, operates on compressed natural gas and is PIEK certified, operating at a sound level below 60 dB(A). Additionally, the use of natural gas significantly reduces polluting emissions at all levels - up to 95% reduction in particulate emissions and up to 20% reduction in CO2 emissions.
Collaborative innovation for semi-trailers: the Chéreau ROAD project
As part of the Refrigerated Optimized Advanced Design (ROAD) project with Chéreau, a European manufacturer dedicated to the design and manufacture of refrigerated truck bodies, Carrier Transicold has provided an engineless refrigeration unit for semi-trailers that uses natural refrigerant (CO2) to minimize its impact on the environment. The ROAD project is a collaborative project with a dual objective that looks to reduce the environmental impact of semi-trailers and improve operating conditions in terms of ergonomics and safety. The ROAD semi-trailer is on display at Chéreau's stand 4L196 at the show and is also competing in the Solutrans 2019 I-nnovations Awards.
Carrier Transicold's flexible power solutions
Carrier Transicold is committed to reducing emissions through its flexible power offerings that include all alternative energy solutions to power refrigeration units. These offerings include the ECO-DRIVE™ hydroelectric module, which supplies the products in the engineless range, as well as the development of new energy sources such as the flexible power axle system, which uses energy from the axles stored in a battery pack to supply the unit.
eSolutions™: Advanced connectivity to improve cold chain efficiency
Carrier Transicold is showcasing its eSolutions connectivity package – an advanced online telematics platform designed to improve product visibility, manage operating costs and enhance operational efficiency throughout the cold chain.
Discover how Carrier Transicold Moves Your Senses
Also on full display for Solutrans guests will be Carrier Transicold’s interactive “Move Your Senses” campaign, illustrating how Carrier Transicold's refrigeration solutions plays an integral role in transporting the products that stimulate our senses on a daily basis.
