SAN FRANCISCO -
Carrier is pleased to announce the Côr™ home automation system – designed with the flexibility and low cost homebuilders will appreciate – is available for purchase. Carrier, a world leader in high-technology heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration solutions, is a part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).
The Côr home automation system, which enables homeowners to secure, control and remotely manage their home’s most critical systems from the convenience of an intuitive mobile app, can now be purchased through a Carrier distributor or factory direct for select home builders. The Côr home automation system builds on Carrier’s commitment to delivering the “heart” of a smarter home.
“Earlier this year, we introduced the Côr home automation system at the Consumer Electronic Show to demonstrate our commitment to expanding our suite of services to increase comfort and convenience for today’s savvy homeowner,” said Matthew Pine, vice president, marketing, Carrier. “Now we are thrilled to begin taking orders for the system and working with homebuilders across the country to deliver a smart home solution backed by brands they know and trust.”
The Côr home automation system provides homeowners a single solution to easily connect their home’s most important systems: heating and cooling, safety and security.
Once set up, users can manage connected devices, view live video of their home from connected cameras and remotely manage access from the system’s app, anywhere in the world. As flexible as it is smart, the Côr home automation system can connect and automate over 64 sensors, 250 Z-Wave® enabled devices and 16 cameras in the home. It also offers the homeowner the choice to opt for home self-monitoring or upgrade to professional security monitoring.
The Côr home automation system interfaces with innovative technology from three leading United Technologies brands:
- Carrier, the innovator of modern air conditioning, boasts more than a century of HVAC expertise.
- Interlogix, a global leader in residential and commercial security.
- Kidde, the world’s largest manufacturer of fire safety products.
