Two regional Carrier Commercial Refrigeration entities have received national recognition as family friendly companies by the Network of Maternity Centers, a local non-governmental organization. Carrier chladici technika CZ s.r.o. and Carrier Refrigeration Operation Czech Republic s.r.o. were two of just four companies in the Czech Republic who received the distinction. Carrier, the world’s leader in high-technology heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration solutions, is a part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).
The Family Friendly awards were presented by Michaela Marksova-Tominova, Czech Republic Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, and Jiri Dientsbier, Minister for Human Rights, Equal Opportunities and Legislation. Companies that apply for the award undergo a detailed audit to measure family friendliness, with recognition awarded to those organizations that score high in the following areas:
