Carrier now offers an Energy Assessment Program specifically designed to assist small- to mid-size commercial buildings owners create healthy, high-quality environments. The assessments identify costly energy drains in buildings and provide fiscally responsible recommendations to improve indoor comfort while reducing energy use and operating expense. Carrier, the world’s leader in high technology heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration solutions, is a part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).
Carrier Energy Assessments are performed onsite by trained experts from Carrier’s energy service operations, which is recognized by the National Association of Energy Service Companies (NAESCO), an accredited Energy Service Company (ESCO) and Energy Service Provider (ESP). Assessments include a site review and analysis of utility bills, operating schedules and occupancy levels to capture information about the site, which is then modeled to create a detailed, easy-to-read, actionable report. The Carrier Energy Assessment provides recommendations to reduce energy consumption and create a healthier, more productive environment for occupants.
“With minimum preparation and time on a business owner’s part, our energy service professionals can provide an ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Engineers) Level I Energy Assessment that results in recommendations for easily implemented solutions at low or no cost that can provide significant energy savings,” stated Greg Alcorn, vice president, commercial sales and marketing, Carrier. “Many utility companies and municipalities also offer rebates to offset these types of energy assessments.” Carrier can also conduct more detailed analyses for ASHRAE Level II and III Energy Assessments.
“We want to work with building owners to promote healthier, more productive environments while reducing energy costs and creating a lower carbon footprint,” added Alcorn.
