The 50XCW indoor water-cooled packaged units are designed for vertical installation with multiple return air and supply air configurations. These units provide a practical and economical approach to comfort conditioning requirements in replacement, renovation, and new construction applications.
Performance Features
- Capacities of 5, 7½, 10, 12, 15, and 20 tons.
- ASHRAE 90.1 compliant.
- Rear filter rack to support 1-in. or 2-in. filters.
- TXV (thermostatic expansion valve) controlled.
- Two-stage capacity control on sizes 12 to 24.
- Sizes 12 to 24 have two compressors on independent circuits.
- Brazed-plate style heat exchanger rated at 400 psig water-side working pressure.
- Adjustable belt drive centrifugal evaporator fan.
- Built-in 24-volt control system.
- R-410A refrigerant.
- Positive sloped stainless steel drain pan.
- Fully insulated unit including full acoustical insulation on compressor section.
- Freezestat.
Reliability Features
- Aluminum fin/copper tube coils.
- Painted weather-resistant cabinet meets 500-hour salt spray requirements.
- Scroll compressors with internal overload protection.
- Adjustable belt-drive fan motors.
- 3-phase evaporator-fan motors with internal thermal protection.
- Condensate drain connections on right side of unit.
- High and low pressure switches on each compressor.
- Cycle-LOC™ lockout relay and 5-minute short cycle protection on each circuit.
- Unit is ETL and ETL, Canada certified.
- Manufactured in an ISO 9000 certified factory.
Maintenance Features
- Replaceable filter drier on each refrigerant circuit.
- Filter rack for 1-in. or 2-in. disposable filters.
- Ducted or free return connections.
- All service can be done through unit front or side panels.
- Same filter rack can be used for free or ducted return.
- Permanently lubricated TEFC (totally enclosed fan cooled) evaporator and condenser fan motors.
Installation Features

- Evaporator fan is shipped in vertical discharge configuration.
- Flanges provided on condenser and evaporator inlet and outlet.
- Single point electrical connection.
