Carrier is proud to announce the release of the intelligent SystemVu rooftop unit controller, designed to enhance efficiency and comfort control. Leveraging an improved integrated controller created with customer input, SystemVu maximizes efficiency and comfort for users of the popular WeatherExpert™ 48/50LC 6- to 23-ton packaged rooftop units, while ensuring top performance. Carrier, the world’s leader in high technology heating, ventilating and air-conditioning solutions, is a part of UTC Building & Industrial Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).
In addition to optimizing WeatherExpert operation, the SystemVu controller provides superior reliability and diagnostic capabilities including historical data and commissioning reports. The SystemVu controller’s intuitive display menu allows quick and easy access to more than 300 possible configuration points and more than 300 status, troubleshooting, diagnostic and maintenance points. A USB port makes data exchanging easy and accurate, further enhancing the industry’s most efficient packaged rooftop product line.
It also has a quick unit status indicator to show if the unit is in run, alarm or fault mode. And the SystemVu controller allows for actual unit refrigerant pressures to be read right from the controller display — eliminating the need for traditional gauges.
The SystemVu controller is capable of stand-alone operation with a conventional thermostat or can be connected to the Carrier® i-Vu® System, Carrier Comfort Network® or BACnet® for full integration with a building automation system.
“We listened to our customers in creating this product and are proud of the outcome,” said Greg Alcorn, vice president, commercial sales and marketing, Carrier. “The SystemVu controller provides the access, data reporting features and flexibility building owners and managers want.”
