UTC Canada Corp., a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX), has acquired Commercial Air Services, Inc., a St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada-based heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) contractor specializing in the service and repair of commercial unitary equipment. Commercial Air will operate under the Carrier Commercial Service brand effective immediately.
Commercial Air Services, which was incorporated in 1996 and has 22 employees, provides HVAC service in the St. Catharines/Niagara Falls area to a wide variety of customers, including manufacturers, schools, property management firms and municipalities.

"Their knowledge of the local market and expertise in servicing commercial unitary equipment will help us provide greater value to our customers."
The acquisition was completed on March 18. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Carrier Commercial Service provides maintenance, repair and replacement services for HVAC systems; building controls; and energy management services and solutions products from more than 100 locations in the U. S. and Canada.
